A Certified Hand Therapist is an OT or PT by profession with at least three years of experience, 4,000 hours of hand therapy practice (upper extremity rehabilitation) and must have passed the certification examination. CHTs can effectively treat and rehabilitate patients while working closely with physicians to provide a continuum of care.
