Richie received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Valdosta State University. He completed the Physician Assistant Program at South University in 2009, receiving a Masters of Science. He is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery. Richie is a long time resident of Glynn County where he resides with his family.

J. Kevin Brooks, MD
As a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Kevin Brooks, MD, specializes in hip and knee replacement and reconstruction.
Georgia native Kevin Brooks, M.D., was the valedictorian of his senior class at Ware County High School in 1990, where he was also the most valuable player in varsity basketball and tennis, as well as scholar athlete of the year. Dr. Brooks went on to graduate with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University in Macon, Geogria, where he was a Ty Cobb Scholar, Troutman Weir Scholar Athlete of the Year, and an officer of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia where he earned the Outstanding Surgery Research Award and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Brooks completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at MCG in 2003 and then served as an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery for two years where he had advanced training in orthopedic trauma, spine surgery, and total joint replacement. Subsequently, he joined the staff of Southern Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Brunswick where he remains in practice. Dr. Brooks has earned fellowship status with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, is board-
certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He continues to practice comprehensive orthopedic surgery with an emphasis on total joint replacement, implementing the latest technologies including robotic assisted surgery. He has served as the Medical Director of the Joint Replacement Center since its inception.
Dr. Brooks enjoys pickleball, hiking, running, wakesurfing, and paddleboarding in his spare time. He and his wife, an ophthalmologist, currently live on St. Simons Island with their twin daughters Kate and Lucy.
