Edward Fakhre, MD
Edward Fakhre, MD is a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon with Optim Orthopedics who provides consultation and treatment for patients with all spine disorders, including cervical spine and minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Edward Fakhre is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon with a deeply personal connection to his field. Growing up in a large family of physicians, he was drawn early on to the transformative impact of medicine. But it was witnessing his own grandmother struggle with spinal stenosis in his hometown of Grenada—where access to orthopedic and spine care was extremely limited—that ultimately shaped his calling.
After seeing her regain her independence and joy following spinal surgery in the U.S., Dr. Fakhre committed himself to helping others overcome similar challenges. Today, he specializes in the treatment of spine conditions that affect mobility, function, and overall quality of life. He is passionate about restoring movement and relieving pain so his patients can return to the activities they love—whether that’s hiking, running, or simply enjoying a walk without discomfort.
Dr. Fakhre’s approach to care is compassionate, patient-centered, and informed by both personal experience and clinical excellence. He understands how spinal pain can affect not only physical health but emotional well-being, and he works closely with each patient to create a tailored treatment plan that supports long-term recovery and resilience.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Fakhre and his wife stay active together—often hiking, running, or exploring the outdoors on foot, even when there’s no particular destination in mind.
