Mark F. Dunham

Mark was raised in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from Cumberland University in 2010 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He was accepted into the highly competitive Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Nurse Residency Program where he worked with cardiac patients. In 2012, he and his wife moved to Jasper, Alabama where he worked in the ICU and attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program. Mark graduated from UAB in December of 2014. He is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He also holds an active Georgia Registered Nurse license with advanced practice authority. Mark has been working at Southern Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine since December 2015. He has been happily married to his wife, Raleigh, for 8 years. He enjoys travel, golf, and fishing.

Michael J. Dunn, MD
As a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Michael Dunn, MD, specializes in hand, wrist and elbow.
Dr. Dunn is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with a Certificate of Added Qualification for Surgery of the Hand. He received his medical degree at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Monmouth Medical Center in Longbranch, New Jersey where he received several awards, authored published papers, and designed a specialized surgical instrument to treat stenosing tenosynovitis of the finger. He attended a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Allegheny University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where he co-authored book chapters in hand surgery. He is currently a fellow of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Georgia Orthopedic Society, and Georgia Hand Society. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery for the Medical College of Georgia. He has now been with Southern Orthopaedics treating patients of the hand and upper extremity since 2001.
Dr. Dunn sees patients of all ages with a variety of upper extremity conditions from the shoulder to the hand. He sees and treats simple to complex trauma, performs arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement surgery, ligament reconstruction, nerve and micro-surgery, endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery and much more. Most importantly, he treats the majority of the patients he sees conservatively and involves each patient in the overall decision making process to obtain the best possible outcome.
